Using Data for Meaningful Change: An Online Course

Course Dates: August 25–December 15, 2013

In response to the tremendous need for Using Data workshops, TERC is happy to announce an opportunity for participants to engage in Using Data for Meaningful Change, an Online Course. Facilitated by Diana Nunnaley and Jennifer Unger, this online course is organized in three modules for a total of 15 sessions—Module I: Build the Foundation for Data-Driven Learning Communities, Module II: Identify the Student Learning Problem, and Module III: Generate Solutions, Implement, Monitor, and Achieve Results.

The course will begin with a "Getting Started" session the week of August 25 (new sessions become available on Sunday night at midnight). Throughout the course students will have the option of collecting and using their own data or using the Case Study data provided in the course to learn the process, the techniques, and develop their skills in facilitating the analysis of data.

Using Data for Meaningful Change provides:

School or district leaders may wish to maximize professional development results by enrolling multiple individuals serving as members of a working Data Team.
